We take it back…
first thing's first...
Thank you all so much for coming out and racing with us for the last 10 years, we are pumped to continue the tradition. As many of you may know, our largest race occurred in 2017, with 33% more racers than ever before (and being sold out) a lot of racers showed up planning to be able to register at the event (Hub-a-Palooza) so we oversold the race. We were also breaking in a completely new timing system at this event, which was awesome… But as with anything knew, there is a slight learning curve and some bugs to work out.
All this being said, we made a couple mistakes –
1. We oversold the race, we wanted to accommodate all racers, and we should have used discretion in this case – adding racers after start sheets were built proved to be a little more time consuming at the venue than it had been in our practice races we setup during our 6 months of testing.
2. Our backup timing system didn’t allow for good organization of rider start/finish times. While we did have every time recording, the system we used was very inefficient.
These two things caused us to start the enduro race late last year, and caused results to take a lot of extra time to calculate, and we are sorry for that.
After Hub-a-Palooza we timed 2 enduro races (5 stages each), 1 downhill race, and 1 xc race with nearly 1000 laps and teams of up to five people… We also dialed in our backup timing system and got the starts and finishes in perfect sequence, which we never needed to use.
So, for those of you who may have had a bad experience with our new timing system in 2017 at Hub-a-Palooza, please forgive us and give the race another shot! We nailed the other races that we put on, and have over 50 events under our belt without any problems, unfortunately a new timing system and our biggest race ever just didn’t go as perfect as we planned.

A FEW UPDATES!
As many of you know, we are adding more enduro stages and another day of racing to The People’s Enduro at Hub-a-Palooza for 2018. We are also bringing back our slalom race, high jump competition, The People’s Night Ride and our dirt jump jam. Bring all your bikes, and all your friends! More details to come on these new events in the coming days.
Schedule of events:
Friday – practice all day, The People’s Night Ride at 7pm (bring lights)
Saturday – Enduro, DH practice in morning, DH race in afternoon followed by High Jump and Dirt Jam
Sunday – Enduro, DH practice in morning, DH race in afternoon
Camping – there is a limited amount of camping on site, you will have to show up early for this (Thursday/Friday), and please remember to be prepared to haul away your own garbage.
Parking – while it seems like we have a huge parking lot, it fills up quickly with all the racers and their families, please park wisely and respect that other people need space too, carpool whenever possible.
Helmets – required whenever you are riding a bike, full face helmets are required for dh.
