New FOR 2019
Another timing upgrade! Over the last two seasons we have properly broken in our RFID timing system, and while it worked very well we wanted to automate things just a bit more. So, we purchased 5 more timing systems to provide roll through starts! This will take a huge load off our volunteers, and will also help reduce the chances of a human error.
For 2019 we are going back to the single day enduro format with 5 stages (4 for beginner). It was fun to do a two day event in 2018, but the weather and the load it put on volunteers and racers took a toll.
Additionally, we are changing The People’s Enduro to the All Gravity Series Enduro. As we make an effort to bring more downhill racing to the Inland Northwest over the 2019/2020 seasons we decided to simplify the names of events we put on!
On site food is back! We have confirmation from Crate Food Truck for the entire weekend.
WHAT is it?
Hub-a-Palooza is a 3 day mountain bike festival that takes place at Beacon Hill (Camp Sekani) in Spokane, WA. Past participants would tell you that it is one of the BEST ways to start off your race season. With events going all day long, a schedule allowing riders to compete in all events if they so choose, you won’t find yourself sitting around for hours waiting for your start time.
This is our 6th Hub-a-Palooza, but our 11th year putting on this event at Beacon Hill. Over the years we have watched this event and the trail system that it operates on, flourish… We are excited to share some new trail developments with you, and show you why people make Beacon Hill a destination for riding nearly year-round.
Hubapalooza has several events…
Our longest running event is the Double Down Hoe Down – two days of downhill racing on two separate courses! Each days has an awards ceremony and Saturday has a jump jam / high jump competition.
The People’s Enduro / AGS Enduro – a 4/5 stage single day enduro race, typically 2000-2200 feet of climbing and a great way to start the season / get into enduro racing.
Dirt Jam / High Jump – there are tons of good jump trails at Camp Sekani and we hold an informal jump jam / high jump on Saturday afternoon after the downhill!

Most already know that this is a hike-a-bike event, the climb up is pretty short, and has never been a problem for anyone before. Because of the logistics of the hill we can’t offer shuttles and the event is priced appropriately for being an unshuttled race.
Awards and prize raffle will take place immediately after race is complete.

Just like most of the country, we got blasted with snow during February and the first couple weeks of March. But now we are back up in the mid 50’s – low 60 degree temps that we were expecting to see and the snow pack is melting off rapidly.
A lot of our course decisions were based off being nice to the trails that could be soggy… These courses are subject to change at anytime before Friday March 29 @ 12pm when course marking is finalized. Transfer stages will not be announced until next week when we start marking courses.
3/22/19 Trailsforks data added, click stages below!
Stage 1 (all racers) – Pop Rocks > Penny Lane > Hot Gates > Myth
Stage 2 (all racers) – Commitment Issues > Scared Cat
Stage 3 (all racers) – Spine > Tire Trail to Gully (course depends on trail condition)
Stage 4 (Expert/Pro Only) – Zipper (changed 3/22/19)
Stage 5 (all) – Stahlingrab
Please remember that these are subject to change if we see necessary.
We are planning a course preview for Sunday March 24th, 9am @ Camp Sekani.
Waiting on Trailforks data to be approved…
