Hub-a-Palooza 2017 – Presented by The Bike Hub and Shimano

 

This awesome weekend will feature several events… The two biggest ones will be the annual Double Down Hoe Down downhill bike race which is now in it’s 9th year and includes two seperate days of racing on two different courses, and The People’s Enduro which will be a single day, 4 stage enduro event. CASH PRIZES FOR PROS and OTHER SWEET PRIZES!

***Racing will be coordinated so that racers will be able to participate in all DH and enduro events.  There will be another OMNIUM prize this year for racers that compete in all 3 races***

Weekend Schedule

Registration and plate pick up:
Friday 1pm-6pm – registration will be open this day for all events (ENDURO AND DH), this is for racers who have already signed up online and need to sign a waiver and also for those who haven’t signed up yet ($10 late fee), anybody riding/practicing on Friday must complete registration on Friday…
Practice all day for DH and Enduro

 

Saturday
All day – enduro practice
8-12pm – DH practice
8-9:30am DH plate pick up for those who are already registered online. Also, DH late (at event) registration.
8-10am ENDURO registration – there is no registration for enduro on Sunday morning, this is your last chance to sign up.
1pm – Saturday DH starts
4pm – Saturday DH awards
4:45pm – FREE Slalom sign up
5:30pm – FREE Slalom start

Double Down Hoe Down 9 – AGS #1 2017 – Beacon Hill, Spokane, WA – March 31 – April 2, 2017

 

The downhill race season is back upon us, and we’ll be kicking it off at Beacon in Spokane, WA again for 2017!  We thought the Double Down had died in 2013, but it turns out that we had more life to live…  This classic 2 day downhill event will be accompanied by an enduro race and a few other events during the same weekend!

 

The downhill event will include two races, as usual, one on Saturday and one on Sunday.  There will be practice all day Friday, as well Saturday and Sunday mornings.

 

***Racing will be coordinated so that racers will be able to participate in all DH and enduro events.  There will be another OMNIUM prize this year for racers that compete in all 3 races***

Race will start at 1pm Saturday, and 12pm Sunday.

 

Cost of Double Down Hoe Down race is is $30/day or $55 for both days.
Register online by March 19, 2017 to avoid a late fee ($10) – All major credit cards and PayPal can be used.

 

Online registration will be open until March 29, 2017. BUT, online registration after March 19th and late registration at event will incur a $10 late fee, thanks for registering early!

 

– There will be no refunds after 3/4/17, but racers are welcome to change classes.  At that time, all entries have been allocated to the event costs. –

 

All DOWNHILL racers will also be required to ride and race in a full faced helmet.  All riders will be required to be registered to be on course.

The People’s Enduro #1 – Beacon Hill, Spokane, WA

 

The terrain at Beacon Hill in Spokane lends itself to many styles of mountain biking, and is accessible to riders of all skill levels.  This will be a conventional enduro, where you are timed only on the downhill stages. The transition stages will be short-ish and fun, and will have to be completed within the time allotted, but will not be part of the race.

 

Racing will be coordinated so racers may participate in The People’s Enduro and the Sunday DH race.

The People’s Enduro details –

 

Practice: March 31 and April 2 – all day
Sunday morning riders meeting and timing chip pick up (MANDATORY): 8am for Expert/Pro and 9am for Beginner/Sport
Race: April 2, 2017 at 9am for Expert/Pro and 10am for Beginner/Sport

 

3 timed stages (4 for expert/pro), stages will range from 3-10 minutes, 2000-2500 feet of climbing during the event, racers will be sent at 30 second intervals at the start of each stage. Awards will follow at 2 pm.

 

Racing will start promptly at 9am Sunday April 3rd and the cost of The People’s Enduro race is $65.

 

Late registration/number plate pick up will be Friday and Saturday March 31 & April 1, 2017. There will be NO REGISTRATION on Sunday morning, all paperwork and check in must be completed either Friday, or Saturday.

Online registration will be open until March 29th and event registration will be open March 31-April 1 at Beacon, there will be a $10 late fee assessed for registration after March 19th for online registration and at-event registration. No entries will be accepted on the day of event, as the timing is too tight to take on any stragglers.
